Ocarina of Time

Darunia is a supporting character from the video game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, an N64 game released back in 1998. Since '98, there have been multiple releases of this Video Game classic. On Gamecube it was released in two forms: A re-release with a "Masterquest" version and also in a Zelda collector's edition with all of the other classic games. Most recently it was re-released on the Nintendo's 3DS.

Ocarina of Time is probably the most well-known and well-liked of the Legend of Zelda series. (For me, it's in my top three with include: 1) Link to the Past 2) The newly released Skyward Sword 3) and finally, Ocarina of Time.) The story revolves around a young boy named Link, who lives in the forest with a group of forest-dwelling children known as the Kokiri. Each Kokiri is paired with a fairy and Link is known to be the boy without a fairy, and for some reason he didn't quite fit in. He later learns that he is actually a Hyrulian and a great destiny is laid before him. He meets the magical princess Zelda and a questionable character known as Ganondorf.

Ganondorf kidnaps Princess Zelda and she gives Link her prized posession: Her Ocarina of Time. Ganondorf seals Link away in the Temple of Time for seven years. Link is later awakened by the Sage of Light as an adult and learns of Ganondorf's rule over the land of Hyrule. He must complete his destiny as the Hero of Time and defeat Ganondorf!

But wait, I thought this shrine was about a guy called "Darunia"? Indeed, it is! Darunia helps Link on his way to stardom. Though he plays a minor role, his part in the story greatly impacts Link, discussed in more detail here.
